The housing authority of the City of Los Angeles recently approved the first pilot program in the state aimed at reuniting former prisoners and their families who live in Section 8 housing. This important program will diminish barriers to reentry for formerly incarcerated women and men who were previously banned from subsidized and Section 8 housing.
