Family Reunification

When mothers are released from prison, they are often faced with the daunting task of regaining custody of their children who were placed in foster care or with family members during their incarceration.

Navigating the children’s court system can be overwhelming and confusing, and without support, many mothers are unable to complete the necessary steps. As a result, children are often permanently separated from their mothers, contributing to further psychological damage for both mother and child.

When it is in the best interests of the children, A New Way of Life A New Way of Life assists formerly incarcerated women in navigating the court system and reuniting with their children, providing the support and resources necessary to rebuild healthy and long-lasting mother-child bonds.
