Women Organizing for Justice

Birthed through a 2005 Soros Justice Fellowship, our signature leadership program seeks to increase the civic participation of formerly incarcerated women in policy decisions that impact their communities.

Through an intensive 4-month Training Institute, participants learn about the role of community organizing and social movements in changing the world for better. They develop their confidence as public speakers and advocates through skill-building workshops and real life opportunities to participate in public policy debates.

Graduates of Women Organizing for Justice are equipped with a critical analysis of the justice system and a belief in themselves as important participants in the struggle for social justice.
